Does anyone know what to do following a dog bite?
I've been bitten recently and I'm worried about the wound becoming infected...
Does anyone have any suggestions on good antiseptics for dog bites?
I'm sure it is a common occurence when Pet Sitting new dogs...
Thanks!
Sarah

Hello Sarah,
Sorry to hear about your bite incident... It happens to the best of us sometimes ...
I wouldn't worry too much about it unless the cute was quite deep - if there was blood etc., then I would recommend getting it checked out with your doctor.
Some anti-septic fluid or cream is usually the best remedy if it is sore or hurting. If you use cream, ensure that on the directions it doesn't say anything about not suitable for open wounds or cuts.

Greetings;
If you have been bitten by an animal and it pierced the skin, it is important that you have a Tetanus shot or find out if you are up-to-date...
There is not much chance of catching anything from most pets, but it's better to be safe than sorry!
